- Australia and China cement close ties on higher education
- The Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, and His Excellency Mr Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, witnessed the renewal of the Australia-China Arrangement on Higher Education Qualifications Recognition at Parliament House. - South Australian Premier Mike Rann woos Indians to study in 'safest' state

- Greater protection for international students will be available following the passage of the first tranche of the legislative changes recommended by the Baird Review.
